– Austin Michael Alex Martin, born Nov. 12, 1996, in Paso Robles, California, passed away on Dec. 31, 2024, at the age of 28. The beloved son of Rose Nielsen and Donnie Martin, and stepson to Bob Nielsen. Austin’s life was marked by his radiant personality and boundless kindness.
Austin attended Georgia Brown Elementary and graduated from Paso Robles High School, where he formed many lifelong friendships and began to develop his diverse interests. He found his professional calling in tech sales, where he excelled due to his engaging personality and dedication.
Known for his humor and caring nature, Austin had an exceptional way of making everyone around him feel genuinely valued. His interests were varied and rich; he loved nature hikes, was passionate about cooking, and had a keen eye for photography. Austin’s pets, Oliver and Lila, were also a significant part of his life.
Austin leaves behind a loving family: his mother Rose, father Donnie, stepfather Bob, sister Madalyn Martin, grandmothers Dolores DeLaRosa, Patsy Martin, and Adalena Martin, and grandfathers Don Martin and Papa Kenny. He was a cherished nephew to uncles David and Mario De La Rosa, Leon Guzman, and Scot Legeman and Auntie Tonya Legeman, Michelle Flores, and Dominique Randel. He was preceded in death by his grandfather Alex Alverez and cousins Brandon and Anthony Jr.
A service to celebrate Austin’s life will be held at Atascadero Bible Church, 6225 Atascadero Ave., Atascadero, on March 1 at 1 p.m. His presence will be deeply missed, but the memory of his vibrant spirit will continue to inspire all who knew him.
